Caretaker - School in Sutton, Peterborough
Are you handy around a building, great at solving problems, and looking for a meaningful role in a welcoming school environment? A well-established school in Sutton, Peterborough is seeking a reliable and proactive School Caretaker to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis starting as soon as possible.
In this hands-on position, you will play a vital part in the daily running of a busy educational community. Working alongside the site team and senior leadership, you will help maintain a safe, secure, and clean environment where students and staff can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Maintaining a safe, secure, and well-presented school site at all times
Managing day-to-day building maintenance and general upkeep
Collaborating closely with the site team and senior leadership to ensure smooth school operations
Fostering a positive, well-maintained environment conducive to learning
What We Are Looking For
Previous experience as a caretaker, site assistant, or in general maintenance (preferred)
A foundational understanding of building maintenance and health & safety standards
A practical, hands-on approach paired with strong problem-solving abilities
The versatility to work well independently as well as part of a supportive team
Effective communication and strong organizational skills
Valid right to work in the UK
