Lead HR Business Partner

We're looking for a Lead HR Business Partner for a public sector organisation based in Swindon, London or Bristol (hybrid) on an initial 7 months contract, paying up to £675 per day (Inside IR35).

This is a hybrid role with an expectation to attend the office in Swindon or London around one day a week.

The successful Lead HR Business Partner will lead the exit workstreams of a major restructuring programme, taking it from design and business case through delivery to closure. You'll line manage a programme manager and matrix-manage a team of subject matter experts, resolving blockers and representing the programme at senior governance bodies. You'll work closely with the Programme Director, PMO and external providers to deliver a sensitive people change programme to time, budget and objectives.

You will need proven experience working with the following:

A strong HR Employee Relations background, ensuring HR processes and decisions are legally compliant
Experience as an HR Specialist or HR Business Partner within the public sector
Leading restructuring and redundancy programmes in a public sector environment, with an up-to-date understanding of the relevant law
Working with trade unions, including collective consultation, negotiations and complex industrial relations
Significant knowledge of Civil Service and public sector pension arrangements, including multiple schemes
Advising and influencing senior stakeholders on people-related risks and solutions
