Coffee Brand Manager
- Collaborate with our Marketing department to drive the look and feel of the brand
- Develop and manage department budget, tracking sales, costs, and profitability. Implement strategies to maximize revenue and minimize expenses, while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for coffee and tea operations, including product selection, sourcing, pricing, and marketing. Take ownership of all third party supplier relationships, building performance through effective partnerships.
- Advise operational management on the ergonomics and flow of the Coffee Bar working space (paying attention to legislative H&S and Food Safety requirements) - Lead the brand development team efficiently promoting best practice and driving engagement.
- Manage the brand activation process from conception to completion.
- Develop and drive the Barista Academy in terms of course content and operations.
- Implement processes and systems to optimize coffee and tea operations, including inventory management, equipment maintenance, and waste reduction. Identify and address operational challenges to ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operations for coffee bars.
- Manage audits, audit outcomes and reporting.
- Support with the mobilisation of new business wins.
- Work with the company L&D manager to ensure effective L&D programmes relating to the brand are in place and effectively communicated.
- Using our internal communications app celebrate the brand, creating excitement and awareness within our teams
- Support the operational team with hot beverage related projects or enquiries
- Support the company sales function with competitive proposals, costings, and sales presentations.
- Promote the brand by attending relevant networking events.
- Organise and manage internal events to drive the brand and the engagement of the team around it – such as our annual BM Barista Championships and the Perkee Coffee Carnival.
- Work with the company’s procurement function and support a group led strategy for hot beverages.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competition, and customer preferences in the coffee and tea sector. Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities for growth and differentiation.
- Proven experience in coffee and tea operations, preferably in a leadership role.
- Good understanding of Microsoft applications: Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to speak in public and able to present to small and larger audiences.
- Good knowledge of coffee sourcing, trading, roasting and distribution.
- Good working knowledge of coffee machines and grinders.
- Business acumen and the able to develop and execute strategic plans. Experienced in managing, setting and controlling budgets.
