Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the English department, providing guidance and support to teachers
  • Develop and implement an exceptional and engaging English curriculum
  • Collaborate with fellow academic leaders to enhance cross-curricular initiatives
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and implementing strategies for improvement
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Ensure the effective use of resources and technology within the department
  • Maintain open communication with parents regarding students' academic performance
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in the field of English education

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English or a related field
  • Teaching certification and relevant teaching experience
  • Proven experience as a Head of English or similar leadership role
  • Outstanding knowledge and understanding of the English curriculum
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students and staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current educational trends and best practices
  • Passion for English education and commitment to academic excellence
