Head of Compensation & Benefits
For a quarter of a century, the Jellycat family have brought joy, wonder and playful fun to people of all ages, in every part of the world. Utterly original and in a class of their own, they are currently among the most loved and collected toys of their kind. How has this gentle tribe endeared themselves to so many? Perhaps it is their whimsical expressions. Or the deliciously soft fabrics. Or the beautiful way in which they sit in your hand. Whatever it is, there is something magical and unmistakeable about each one of them.
As Head of Compensation & Benefits at Jellycat, you will oversee compensation and benefits across all regions. You will partner closely with local HR teams to ensure our reward practices are competitive, market appropriate, fair and positioned correctly.
You will work closely with the COO and People Director to bring together a global reward strategy ensuring it aligns with Jellycat’s goals and culture.
You will work with the UK Payroll Manager, who supports payroll operations and HR analytics, and the HR Operations Manager to ensure compliance and data integrity across our HRIS. This role will lead all HR analytics and is pivotal in driving data-led insights across the business.
You'll be;
- Leading the annual bonus scheme globally. Ensure the principles are followed, executed, and understood across Jellycat.
- Implementing globally consistent, yet locally relevant, salary bands. Utilise market benchmarking data to ensure our compensation is competitive and aligned with our desired market position.
- Developing the process for salary reviews, new hires, and promotions to ensure market competitiveness with internal equity and consistency.
- Supporting finance in budgeting and forecasting for salary reviews and bonus payments.
- Managing the global benefits offerings across Jellycat. Ensure we have a compelling and competitive package and are using correct and cost-effective providers. This includes pensions, healthcare, life assurance, and other well-being initiatives ensuring we are compliant with local legislations.
- Reviewing our processes and policies that support our benefits packages to ensure communications are clear, robust and understood by employees.
- Overseeing the UK and Europe monthly payroll process. Manage the external payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Overseeing the HR Operations Manager to ensure we have an accurate global HRIS (HiBob) and we are utilising the functionality in the most effective way.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to the Senior Leadership Team in all matters relating to compensation & Benefits.
- Providing the appropriate data and support to the COO for the bi-annual remuneration meetings.
- Leading the HR analytics for Jellycat. Work closely with the COO and People Director to produce monthly meaningful analytics and provide relevant insights.
- Maintaining documentation, policies and audit trails for all compensation and benefit related activities.
You'll have;
- Detailed and demonstrable experience in Compensation & Benefits within a global business.
- Proven expertise in creating salary structures and managing bonus schemes.
- Strong understanding of UK, and ideally European, payroll and benefits legislation.
- Experience with HRIS, familiarity with HiBob would be preferred.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
