A lovely family based in Kensington, London, is seeking an experienced Afterschool Nanny to care for their 6-year-old child.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of childcare experience and will speak fluent English. A French-speaking candidate would be a bonus. Someone warm, reliable, organised, and confident supporting a school-aged child's daily routine, learning, and development would be ideal for this role.
The nanny will be responsible for ensuring the child's safety, well-being, and development after school. Duties will include collecting the child from school, maintaining proper hygiene, providing homework support, engaging the child in interactive play and educational activities, organising outdoor outings, encouraging early literacy through reading, and establishing consistent daily routines. The role will also involve accompanying the child to after-school clubs and keeping the child's bedroom and play areas clean and organised. The family has two very friendly cats, although no pet care will be required. A driver is not required for this position.
A valid first aid certification is required for this role.
Working hours: Monday to Wednesday, 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, for a total of 12 hours per week.
Duties include:
- collecting the child from school

- establishing and maintaining consistent daily routines
- engaging the child in interactive play
- planning educational and age-appropriate activities
- arranging outdoor outings, such as visits to the park
- encouraging early literacy by reading books

- keeping the child's bedroom and play areas clean and organised
- supporting a calm, safe, and nurturing environment
