The Company

Our client is an early-stage health technology company developing a modern software platform to simplify and improve the clinical trial lifecycle. Initially focused on patient recruitment, the long-term vision extends across research operations, data capture and trial management. Working within a small, highly collaborative team, you’ll have significant ownership, influence technical decisions and help define engineering standards from an early stage. The Role

As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building a cloud-native software platform from concept through to production. You’ll work across the full technology stack, translating product ideas and prototypes into secure, scalable and accessible applications.

Modern AI-assisted software development is central to the engineering approach. You’ll confidently use AI coding tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining high standards of software design, security and maintainability. Working closely with product leadership, you’ll influence technical direction, shape engineering practices and make architectural decisions that will support future platform growth.

Must-Have

• Strong commercial experience developing full stack web applications.
• Excellent knowledge of TypeScript, React and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience building backend services using Python or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, APIs and relational databases.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, security and engineering best practice.
• Comfortable working within an early-stage, fast-moving product environment.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with Next.js, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, AWS, Docker or infrastructure as code.
• Exposure to automated testing using Playwright or similar frameworks.
• Experience within healthcare, life sciences, regulated software or clinical research.
