Senior P&C Treaty Specialist

The Senior P&C Treaty Specialist will play a key role in structuring, placing, and servicing complex treaty reinsurance programmes for a diverse range of clients. This role requires strong technical expertise, market insight, and experience handling multi-class, cross-border risks, particularly across Africa, MENA, Asia, and Europe .

• Lead the design and placement of proportional and non-proportional P&C treaty programmes, focusing on large, complex risks in emerging and developed markets.

• Work across a variety of lines including Property, Casualty, Motor, Medical, Personal Accident, Financial Lines, and Agriculture.

• Develop bespoke reinsurance solutions tailored to client needs, with consideration for regulatory, solvency, and capital management requirements.

• Draft and review reinsurance documentation including slips, endorsements, and treaty wordings to ensure technical accuracy and compliance.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Lloyd’s, London Market, and international reinsurers to access competitive capacity and innovative structures.

• Act as a key point of contact for clients, managing renewals, technical queries, and placement strategy.

• Collaborate internally with contract, technical, and compliance teams to ensure seamless client delivery.

• Support junior colleagues through informal mentoring and technical development.

• At least 7 years’ experience in treaty reinsurance broking, with a focus on multi-class international placements .

• Strong understanding of proportional and non-proportional treaty structures and technical documentation.

• Demonstrated experience handling risks across Africa, MENA, Asia, and Europe .

• Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.

• Technically strong, with confidence in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex treaty wordings.

• Commercially minded and comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

• Professional qualifications (e.g. ACII) are advantageous.
