Paediatric Occupational Therapist
Our client has a fantastic permanent Occupational Therapist vacancy available across all their school campuses, as required, working with paediatric and/or neurodivergent children and young people. Our client is an independent day school for neurodivergent children and young people aged from 7 - 19 who have primary diagnosis of Autism.

Salary: : £32,140 - £47,267 (Full time Salary) - D.O.E
Client Group: Paediatric and/or neurodivergent children and young people Job Role:
* Facilitate OT interventions for a defined caseload, working independently with regular supervision from the Therapy Team Lead and/or external clinical supervisor.
* Conduct initial assessments using appropriate methods to identify individual needs and inform intervention planning.
* Plan, deliver, and evaluate evidence-based, client-centred support programmes for students, ensuring approaches are neurodiversity affirming.
* Provide individualised targets as part of each pupil's IEP, in consultation with students, parents, and staff.
* Keep accurate, confidential case notes and records in line with professional standards.
* Write reports to contribute to Annual Reviews and progress monitoring.
* Maintain regular communication with parents, carers, teaching staff, and the MDT to ensure a joined-up approach to support.
* Report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
* Work collaboratively within the OT team and wider MDT to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
* Participate in regular supervision and actively manage own CPD with support from a clinical supervisor.
* Identify and contribute to areas of development within the OT service.
* Support the MDT Lead in developing and implementing OT provision across the school.
* Identify staff training needs and plan/deliver relevant OT training sessions for class teams and whole-school CPD.
* Contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings, focus meetings, and class team discussions, providing strategies and sharing insights.
* Incorporate specialist input into classroom and therapeutic practices to promote consistency of support.
* Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues, demonstrating empathy and professional competence.
* Use a high level of understanding of autism, neurodiversity, and executive function differences to promote self-awareness and independence in students.
* Deliver OT induction for new staff members as part of the school's training provision. Requirements:
Essential:
* Degree in Occupational Therapy
* HCPC registration
* Minimum of two years' post-qualification experience,
* Experience working with paediatric and/or neurodivergent children and young people
* Evidence of CPD in relevant areas (e.g. Autism, Neurodiversity, Sensory Integration, Executive Function Skills)
* A flexible, compassionate and collaborative approach Desirable:
* Experience within a school or educational environment
* Training or familiarity with Autism-specific or therapeutic approaches (e.g. SCERTS, Zones of Regulation, sensory integration, trauma-informed practice)
