Driving academic quality and ensuring compliance with regulatory and awarding body requirements
Supporting, developing and inspiring academic staff, including Adjunct Faculty
Embedding innovative, inclusive and industry-engaged teaching practices
Leading the adoption of new educational technologies and pedagogical approaches
Partnering with senior academic leaders on curriculum development and academic strategy
Enhancing the student experience across the full lifecycle, from enrolment to alumni
Building a strong academic community that promotes collaboration, scholarship and continuous improvement
Supporting institutional growth and key strategic milestones
What We’re Looking For
You are an experienced and inspiring academic leader with a passion for teaching excellence and student success.
You will bring:
A postgraduate qualification (or higher) in a relevant discipline or higher education
Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), with Senior Fellowship (SFHEA) desirable
Significant experience enhancing teaching quality and assessment in higher education
A strong track record of leading and developing academic teams
Experience building capability in diverse or growing academic staff groups
A strong understanding of UK higher education quality frameworks, including OfS requirements
The ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on operational delivery
And just as importantly, you are:
Student-centred, with a commitment to inclusive and engaging teaching practices
A confident communicator who can influence and build strong relationships
Energised, resilient and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Passionate about innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement
