A lovely family based in Chadwell Heath, London, is seeking an experienced Housekeeper-Cook to help maintain their large family home and prepare meals for the family.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience and will speak fluent English. Someone organised, reliable, flexible, and confident working in a large household would be ideal for this role.
The housekeeper-cook will be responsible for maintaining a 9-bedroom home across 3 floors to a high standard. Duties will include laundry, ironing, dusting, polishing, bed making, changing linens, floor care, deep cleaning bathrooms and the kitchen, and loading and unloading the dishwasher.
The candidate should also be confident caring for polished silverware and marble surfaces. Cooking will be required for the whole family, including 2 adults and their teenage daughter. No childcare will be required for this role.
The candidate will be provided with an en-suite bedroom. A driver would be a bonus, but this is not essential.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with flexibility required. The schedule will mainly be from late morning to evening, with minimal help needed in the morning.
Duties include:
- maintaining a 9-bedroom home across 3 floors
- doing the laundry and ironing
- dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
- making beds and changing linens
- sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
- deep cleaning bathrooms and the kitchen
- loading and unloading the dishwasher
- maintaining an exceptionally clean environment
- caring for polished silverware and marble surfaces
- cooking a variety of meals for the whole family
- keeping the kitchen clean and organised after cooking
The family is looking for someone who can start on 7 July 2026.
