Part Time Nanny
Happy Nest Nanny and Maternity Agency are delighted to be representing a professional, active and welcoming family who are seeking an exceptional part-time nanny / family assistant to join them from August 2026. This is a lovely long-term opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys supporting a child’s development and would like to become a trusted part of family life. The family’s little boy will be 8 months old when the role begins. They are looking for a kind, nurturing and experienced nanny who will support his routine, development, confidence and curiosity as he grows. Position Details Start Date: August 2026
Days: 3 days per week
Hours: 7:00am to 7:00pm
Child: One baby boy, 8 months old at the start of the role
Salary: £25 to £30 gross per hour, subject to experience
Role Type: Long-term, live-out nanny / family assistant position
Additional Requirements: Occasional overnight babysitting and occasional UK and international travel About the Role For the first few months, the role will focus fully on the baby, supporting his daily routine, feeding, naps, weaning, play and overall development. As the role develops, the family would also welcome some light family support, including simple healthy family meal preparation and helping with family organisation where appropriate. Although this is a high-profile household, at the heart of the role is a family who want their little boy to be nurtured, supported and encouraged as he grows. Discretion, professionalism and respect for family privacy are essential. Duties Will Include Providing warm, attentive and developmentally focused care
Supporting feeding, naps, routines and weaning
Planning age-appropriate play and activities
Taking the child to local classes, groups, parks and outings
Encouraging movement, outdoor play, curiosity and confidence
Keeping nursery, play and feeding areas tidy and organised
Managing baby laundry and baby-related supplies
Preparing simple, nutritious family meals where appropriate
Supporting the family during occasional travel The Ideal Nanny The family are looking for someone warm, calm, reliable and naturally engaging, with strong experience caring for babies under 12 months. The right person will understand routines, weaning, developmental milestones and age-appropriate play. They should be organised, proactive and confident using their initiative, while also being happy to work closely with the parents. A positive attitude, good sense of humour and interest in wellness, nutrition and healthy family living would be warmly welcomed. Essential Requirements Excellent baby experience
Confident driver
Non-smoker
Paediatric First Aid certificate, or willingness to obtain this before starting Enhanced DBS on the Update service
Excellent references
Comfortable around dogs, although no pet care is required
Willingness to travel occasionally
Availability for occasional overnight babysitting
Discreet, professional and respectful of family privacy Candidate Requirements:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet all of the usual Happy Nest Nanny & Maternity Agency criteria, which include: A minimum of 5 years professional nanny experience, ideally within private homes
Experience caring for babies and toddlers
A full clean UK driving licence
A current Enhanced DBS Certificate on the update service (or willing to apply)
A valid Paediatric First Aid certificate
Excellent, checkable references from previous nanny roles
Confident, reliable and flexible, with a proactive approach and calm, nurturing manner
