Teaching Assistant - Hendon Prep School

Responsibilities
- Supporting Students in Lessons: Assist students in accessing learning and making strong progress in lessons by providing tailored support and reinforcement.
- Collaborating with Teachers: Work alongside teachers to deliver lessons and ensure students have every opportunity to succeed.
- Promoting Confidence and Independence: Encourage confidence, independence, and positive attitudes towards education.
- Adapting to Diverse Needs: Support students of different ages, abilities, and needs across the school.
- Creating Inclusive Environments: Help create positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environments where students feel safe and supported.
- Supervising After-School Provision: Lead and supervise after-school provision from 3:30pm to 6:00pm, ensuring students enjoy engaging activities in a safe setting.
- Building Relationships: Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
Requirements
- Educational Background: GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
- Experience Working With Children: Experience working with primary-aged children.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrates patience, resilience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Passion for Learning: Passionate about supporting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing.
- Values Alignment: Shares our values of kindness, inclusion, and high expectations.
Working Conditions
- Location: London
- Salary: Up to £23,000 per annum (depending on qualifications)
- Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday – Friday
- Contract: Permanent | Term Time only
- Start Date: April 2027
