Healthcare at HMP Belmarsh includes, Dentists, Primary Care, Mental Health, Substance abuse and Pharmacy. Hours
7 days a week 7.30am-20.00pm
19.30pm-7.45am Salary This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £53,172 per annum FTE - depending on experience. How will we support you?

What you'll be doing As a Substance Misuse Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, prioritising patient care to develop individualised packages of care through comprehensive assessment and recovery planning.
- Deliver a range of treatment options including clinical and psychosocial interventions in both a group and 1-1 setting.
- Carry out comprehensive assessments, initiate and review recovery plans and confidently communicate the full range of treatment options available to service users.
- Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects and liaise with prescribers.
- Support in group work delivery and liaise with prescribers and Recovery Practitioners on clinical interventions.
- Have an understanding and commitment to recovery and a person centred approach.

Qualifications Required
- NMC Registered nurse.
- RCGP 1 in Substance Misuse or willingness to undertake.
- Experience of working with opiate dependant patients.
- Sound clinical substance misuse knowledge.
