About the Role:

As a Commercial & Private Account Handler, you will be instrumental in supporting our clients' insurance needs across both commercial and private sectors. This role offers a fantastic blend of client interaction, technical administration, and business development. You will be a key point of contact for clients, ensuring their policies are managed effectively and their risks are understood.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients, truly understanding their unique needs and risk profiles to provide tailored insurance solutions.
• Policy Administration: Efficiently manage policy renewals, mid-term adjustments, and claims processing, ensuring meticulous and accurate records are always kept.
• New Business Development: Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities, including strategic cross-selling and up-selling to enhance client portfolios.
• Product Knowledge: Develop a comprehensive understanding of various commercial and private insurance products and their practical applications.
• Compliance: Uphold the highest standards of compliance with industry regulations, such as FCA guidelines, and internal company policies.
• Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing client queries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, insurers, and colleagues, both verbally and in writing, ensuring clarity and professionalism.
• Sales Support: Provide valuable technical expertise and assist with client interactions to support broader sales efforts.
• Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and policy information with precision.
• Claim Handling: Assist in the efficient handling of claims, including gathering information, assessing coverage, and coordinating with all relevant parties.
• Risk Management: Develop an understanding of business risks and assist clients in managing them effectively through appropriate insurance solutions.
• Financial Management: Support the financial aspects of client policies, including accurate billing and payment processing.
• Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of the latest changes and developments in the insurance market, regulations, and product offerings.

About You:

• You possess a solid foundation in Personal Lines insurance and are eager to transition into Commercial and Private lines.
• You are a highly motivated individual with a strong desire to learn and progress your career within the insurance industry.
• You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with diverse clients.
• You are meticulous with strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• You are proactive, organised, and able to manage a varied workload efficiently.
• You are a team player with a customer-centric approach.
• CII qualifications are a plus, but not essential, as ongoing professional development will be fully supported.
