THE ROLE & WHY IT EXISTS
Gravitee.io is taking APIs to the next level, we are the premier open source API platform and we want everyone to know how amazing our software is. To make this happen, we are looking for someone passionate, curious and ambitious. This is where you come in.
We’re looking for a Web Developer with HubSpot experience to help us improve the visibility, performance, and overall health of our website. This role is perfect for someone who can build and optimise website elements directly inside HubSpot, including modules, templates, and reusable components, while applying SEO and performance best practices across our product pages.
You’ll collaborate with product, design, and content teams to introduce new page elements, refine internal linking, improve breadcrumbs, and strengthen the overall architecture of our product pages and other website elements. Your work will directly improve product visibility, organic search performance, and user experience.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Your daily to-do list will feature some or all of the following, but is not limited to:
- Web Development & HubSpot CMS (50%):
- Build, update, and maintain HubSpot modules, templates, and theme components.
- Develop new UX/UI elements for product pages, feature sections, comparison blocks, breadcrumbs, and other on-page components.
- Implement and test changes using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and HubL within HubSpot Design Manager.
- Maintain and optimise site architecture and navigation to support SEO and usability.
- Handle day-to-day web updates without relying on external developers.
- Ensure all site elements follow responsive design standards and accessibility best practices.
- Own Core Web Vitals improvements: image optimisation, code cleanup, script management.
- Monitor and improve internal linking patterns, especially within platform pages, product pages, and solution pages.
- Enhance product visibility with stronger breadcrumb structures, page layouts, and internal pathways.
- Manage redirects, sitemaps, robots.txt, URL logic, and template integrity within HubSpot.
- Run and interpret diagnostic tools and implement fixes (performance, broken links, rendering, mobile issues).
- Troubleshoot front-end and HubSpot CMS issues independently.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS The right candidate will possess at least the following skills, if not more:
- Experience building websites within HubSpot CMS (themes, modules, templates).
- Front-end proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HubL.
- Ability to think in terms of site structure, internal linking, component-driven design, and SEO-friendly architecture.
- Strong understanding of web performance, Core Web Vitals, and responsive design.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and the ability to address technical issues independently.
- Strong attention to detail in UI, code quality, and on-page SEO fundamentals.
DESIRED SKILLS - Additionally, these skills are not required, but preferable:
- Experience with Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4
- Experience with Screaming Frog or Sitebulb
- Experience with HubSpot CMS, HubSpot Design Manager, HubL templating
- Figma (for collaborating with design)
