Location: London/Hybrid (Typically 2/3 days in the office)

Principal Tasks

  • Assist in-house Underwriters with daily tasks
  • Production and release of quote slips and binding documentation for authorised signatory approval
  • Maintain renewal and premium tracking data.
  • Reviewing of correspondence files for information assisting in the preparation of underwriting data for capacity providers
  • Production and completion of risk summary sheets ensuring file is passed for processing and certificate production in a timely manner
  • Liaise with clients, Insurers and other staff to resolve any arising queries in a prompt, friendly and professional manner at all times
  • Carry out such projects and other duties and tasks as may from time to time be specified by department head
  • Aiding with Processing Invoices / Credit & Debit Notes, FATCA Withholding Statements, Original Premiums, AP’s / RP’s, Dealing with queries from accounts or liaise with third parties.
  • Following up with clients for outstanding premium for all classes of business.
  • Creation of Slip Endorsements calculating Additional and Return Premiums
  • Maintain Equinox Terms of Business agreements and producing BE where required.
  • Ensuring all renewal information is received and directed towards in-house Underwriters for quoting.
  • Liaise with clients for outstanding Underwriting items in line with policy Terms and conditions
  • Sufficient knowledge and understanding of the relevant aspects of the Law of Agency and the Law of Contract to be able to perform the Principal Tasks
  • Sufficient knowledge and understanding of the general concepts of insurance to be able to perform the Principal Tasks
  • Good working knowledge of the UK regulatory requirements as they affect the business of the Property Section
  • To be aware of legal and jurisdictional requirements in territorial limits worked on and maintain up to date knowledge of current market practices.
  • Knowledge of North American policy wordings

Specific Knowledge Requirements

  • Knowledge of Ardonagh Specialty practices, procedures and service standards
  • Knowledge and/or awareness of Ardonagh Specialty IT systems and processes

Competencies Required

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
  • Ability to use Plus, Microsoft Word and Excel packages
  • Ability to use the Price Forbes IT systems
  • Good numeracy and communication skills
