Store Manager - Contemporary Fashion Brand
Job description
Mode Search is proud to partner with an internationally recognised contemporary fashion house in the search for a Store Manager for their Central London location.
Renowned for its modern, inclusive design and contemporary approach to women’s ready-to-wear, shoes, and accessories, this brand continues to expand its presence globally. This is a rare opportunity to lead a high-performing store team in a flagship environment serving an international clientele.
Reporting directly to the UK Country Manager, the Store Manager will drive commercial performance, operational excellence, and client engagement, while inspiring a motivated and ambitious store team.
This position is ideal for a confident, client-focused retail leader with strong experience in premium fashion, a passion for clientelling, and proven people management skills.
The Role
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 5 (1 ASM, 2 full-time and 2 part-time associates) to achieve store KPIs and sales targets
- Own all aspects of store performance, including stock management, visual merchandising, and operational standards
- Build and maintain a loyal client base, implementing a structured clienteling strategy and maximising all sales opportunities
- Organise and host in-store events, styling appointments, and community initiatives in partnership with HQ and Marketing
- Analyse sales trends, customer behaviour, and operational metrics to inform and execute action plans
- Recruit, onboard, and train staff, conducting regular performance reviews, PDPs, and appraisal discussions
- Lead by example on the shop floor, ensuring all team members embody brand values and sales procedures
- Maintain operational excellence, including BOPIS/BOSFS processes, deliveries, shrinkage control, and weekly stocktakes
The Candidate
- Minimum 2 years’ store management experience, ideally in high-end fashion or lifestyle brands
- Strong clienteling and CRM experience, with proven success in building and retaining a high-value client base
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a results-oriented team
- Commercially and operationally astute, with strong analytical and reporting skills
- Highly organised, proactive, and capable of driving both sales and operational performance
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage
- Confident, service-minded, and passionate about delivering a premium customer experience, with a flair for creating an inspiring in-store environment
