Year 2 Teacher - Harrow
A warm, well-resourced Harrow primary is looking to appoint a committed and reflective Year 2 Teacher to join KS1 on a Full-Time basis from January 2026. The successful Year 2 Teacher will be invited to planning sessions before January 2026, will take part in a structured induction in January 2026, and will begin teaching from January 2026 as the Year 2 Teacher. This Full-Time Year 2 Teacher post is perfect for someone who is passionate about securing strong early outcomes, nurturing confident readers and mathematicians, and building positive relationships with families.

Year 2 Teacher Responsibilities
The Year 2 Teacher will: deliver systematic phonics and guided reading as the Year 2 Teacher; design sequenced writing units and practical mathematics lessons as the Year 2 Teacher; run small-group interventions and keep accurate formative records as the Year 2 Teacher. The Year 2 Teacher will prepare transition work, lead parent consultations and contribute to moderation activities before and after January 2026. The Year 2 Teacher will prepare resources prior to January 2026 and be in class from January 2026.
Year 2 Teacher Requirements
We are seeking a Year 2 Teacher with QTS (or equivalent), confident KS1 practice and clear evidence of impact. The Year 2 Teacher should be reflective, organised and effective at building relationships. Availability for pre-term planning prior to January 2026, attendance at induction in January 2026, and a Full-Time start from January 2026 as the Year 2 Teacher is essential.
