Legal Counsel
What You’ll Do
- Provide clear and timely legal advice on commercial contracts, IP, technology, information rights and equality law.
- Draft, negotiate and review a range of agreements including supplier contracts, partnership arrangements and educational agreements.
- Support dispute resolution, major projects and cross functional initiatives.
- Contribute to knowledge management and training for non-lawyers.
- Keep up to date with legal and regulatory developments affecting the organisation.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified solicitor or barrister eligible to practise in England and Wales.
- Minimum 3 years PQE and must have experience within higher education and understand the regulatory aspects involved.
- Strong background in commercial and contract law with proven drafting and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver high quality advice at pace.
- Clear, concise communication skills and the ability to translate complex legal issues for varied audiences.
Flexibility
Hybrid working: 2 days in the office, Thursday mandatory.
Open to 4 or 5 days a week
