Reception Teacher — Independent School — Wandsworth
An established Independent School in Wandsworth seeks a warm and experienced Reception Teacher to join its Early Years team on a Part-Time basis from January 2026. The Reception Teacher will be part of a small, reflective team; the role involves pre-term planning ahead of January 2026, induction in January 2026, and classroom teaching from January 2026 according to the agreed Part-Time timetable. This Independent School offers excellent indoor and outdoor EYFS spaces, strong TA support and bespoke CPD for early years practitioners.
Reception Teacher Responsibilities
• Lead high-quality continuous provision and focused adult-led phonics sessions as the Reception Teacher.
• Use observation to assess against the Early Learning Goals and plan next steps as the Reception Teacher.
• Forge strong partnerships with parents, run transition activity and attend core staff meetings — responsibilities the Reception Teacher will prepare for prior to January 2026 and deliver from January 2026.
Why join this Independent School as Reception Teacher?
The Independent School provides mentoring, reflective coaching and a supportive leadership team that values early years expertise. The Reception Teacher will have protected planning time, access to external training and opportunities to lead EYFS initiatives from January 2026.
