Senior Administration Officer Role in an Outstanding Primary School
An Outstanding Primary School in Hackney is seeking to appoint an experienced and highly organised Senior Administration Officer to join its welcoming and dedicated support team. About the Role
The successful candidate will provide high-level administrative support across the school while helping to lead the day-to-day operation of the busy school office.
Working closely with the Headteacher, School Business Manager, and wider administrative team, you will oversee key administrative processes, maintain accurate school records, support admissions and attendance, coordinate communications, and ensure an efficient service for pupils, parents, staff, and visitors.
This is a varied role requiring excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks within a fast-paced school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the management of the school office and administrative team
Maintain accurate pupil records and management information systems
Assist with admissions, attendance, and reporting processes
Coordinate communication with parents, staff, governors, and external agencies
Provide administrative support to senior leaders
Ensure compliance with GDPR, safeguarding, and school procedures
Coordinate meetings, events, and visitor management
Contribute to the efficient day-to-day running of the school

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Previous experience in a senior administrative role
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and school management systems
Ability to work accurately and manage competing priorities
Professional, approachable, and able to maintain confidentiality
Desirable
Experience working within a school or educational setting
Knowledge of SIMS, Arbor, or Bromcom
Understanding of admissions, attendance, and safeguarding procedures
Experience supervising or supporting administrative staff
