Year 2 Teacher | Brent
A welcoming primary school in Brent is seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join their staff from January 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a Year 2 Teacher who is passionate about phonics, early writing and developing confident readers. The appointed Year 2 Teacher will receive full induction before January 2026 and will begin teaching in January 2026, with ongoing support throughout January 2026.
• Year 2 Teacher required for a full-time KS1 position
• Year 2 Teacher required to work within a supportive primary school in Brent
• Year 2 Teacher to join a highly organised and well-resourced KS1 team
The Year 2 Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that build on KS1 foundations. The Year 2 Teacher will lead guided reading sessions, run small-group interventions and ensure pupils make strong progress within the Brent setting. As a Year 2 Teacher in Brent, you will also work alongside experienced teaching assistants to support differentiation and classroom management.
Responsibilities
- Deliver structured Year 2 Teacher-led lessons in reading, writing and maths
- Deliver phonics and guided reading sessions daily
- Track progress and plan targeted support
- Maintain an engaging learning environment
- Communicate regularly with families in Brent
Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status
- KS1 experience, ideally as a Year 2 Teacher
- Strong phonics and curriculum knowledge
- Positive, organised classroom management
- Available to start January 2026
