Higher Level Teaching Assistant
SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Location: Camden (NW1) - commutable from Kentish Town, King's Cross, Euston, Hampstead, and Islington Pay: £110-£130 per day (depending on experience) Start Date: September 2025 Contract: Full-time, long-term with potential to go permanent Long Term Futures are working with a forward-thinking and inclusive primary school in Camden to appoint an experienced SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated HLTA to take on additional responsibility, supporting both in-class learning and delivering small-group and intervention sessions for pupils with additional needs. The school has a strong reputation for nurturing pupils with diverse learning needs and creating a positive, structured environment where every child can thrive. The Role As an SEN HLTA, your responsibilities will include: Delivering small group interventions and 1:1 support tailored to pupils with ASD, ADHD, and other SEND profiles. Covering classes during PPA time, ensuring high-quality delivery of planned lessons. Supporting with behaviour management strategies to ensure pupils are engaged and able to progress. Contributing to lesson planning and adapting resources to meet individual needs. Monitoring pupil progress and feeding back to teachers and SENCOs to inform support plans. Acting as a role model and mentor for Teaching Assistants within the school.What We're Looking For Level 4 HLTA qualification (or equivalent experience with class cover and lesson delivery). Strong experience supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH needs in a primary school setting. Confident with classroom management and leading learning independently. Excellent organisational, communication, and teamwork skills. A commitment to inclusion, pupil wellbeing, and continuous professional growth.Why Work with Long Term Futures?
