To undertake cyclic and continual safety inspections of trees in Highways, Parks and Greenspace sites, ensuring databases are kept up to date and remedial works are undertaken to mitigate Health and Safety or insurance claims. Assist the Arboricultural Services Manager in the overall task commitment of the unit, and designated responsibility for the planting, maintenance, preservation and safety of all trees

• To possess well-developed verbal and written communication skills to ensure effective communication and to deal with contractors and customers.

• To possess IT and people skills to be able to respond in all formats to complaints and enquiries.

• Ability to set work objectives and achieve results.

• Ability to prepare, collate, analyse and interpret specialist information and present the information in an appropriate manner.

EXPERIENCE

To have experience of:

• Working with contractors.

• Managing an arboricultural asset inventory system.

• Managing Insurance claims

• Using computers in a Windows environment including Word and database software.

• Customer services, resolving enquiries and complaints

QUALIFICATIONS

• Level 3/4 or equivalent in Arboriculture or Forestry and at least 2 years’ relevant hands-on experience.
