The Data Officer plays a vital role in ensuring that student, staff, and administrative data is accurate, secure, and effectively managed. You will work closely with academic and administrative teams to provide timely and accurate information for reporting, monitoring, and compliance purposes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and maintaining school databases, ensuring accuracy and security.

  • Producing reports and data analysis for school leadership, staff, and governors.

  • Supporting assessment and tracking systems, including inputting and monitoring student data.

  • Assisting with admissions, timetabling, and exam-related data management.

  • Ensuring compliance with data protection regulations, including GDPR.

  • Providing training and guidance to staff on data systems and procedures.

  • Contributing to the development and improvement of data management systems and processes.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Previous experience in data management, administration, or a school environment.

  • Strong knowledge of database systems and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
