Ward Manager - Kinnier Wilson Ward
Job overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a ward leader to join the nursing team on Kinnier Wilson ward which is a 16 bedded acute neurosurgical ward.
We are looking for a nurse with passion for neuroscience, drive to improve quality of care and skills at supporting a team, focused on delivering the right care and the development of staff.
The Unit cares for emergency neurosurgery patients from all over the South East and London for neurovascular and neurosurgery, tracheostomies, extra ventricular and lumbar drains and trauma.

Main duties of the job
- To be responsible for the day-to-day management of the nursing service in a specified ward or department.
- Ensuring the nursing care delivered is of a high standard.
- Appropriate and effective utilization of human and physical resources.
- The demonstration of effective leadership and motivation of staff.
- To be an effective role model.
