Senior Product Manager (Finance)
Our mission is to become the financial and revenue operating system for primary care practices .
We help dental and veterinary clinics manage how money flows into the practice - from patient access, to payments, memberships, financing, insurance, and reporting - in one coherent system.
Rather than treating payments, plans, and finance as separate tools, we combine them into a single operating layer that reflects how practices actually run their business.
There are three structural shifts reshaping primary care right now:
Patient access is moving beyond opening hours. Clinics are under pressure to be available when patients want to engage, not just when the front desk is staffed. Voice and chat interfaces are becoming the new front door to care.
Revenue is becoming structured, not ad-hoc. Memberships, financing, and insurance are increasingly used to smooth cashflow, improve access, and increase predictability — particularly as NHS capacity declines and private care expands.
Practices need better financial insight, not more software. Owners and managers want to understand whether their pricing, plans, and utilisation make economic sense — without becoming analysts or relying on opaque tools.
Today, we support over 6,000 dental practices across the UK. 50 more join our platform every month. Tabeo is the dominant market leader for patient finance and seeks to reinvent memberships next. Beyond payments, we launched a Revenue Engine - AI agents that cover chat, email and voice complementing our existing products.
Tabeo is profitable. We seek to grow revenue by 40-50% per year and top £30 million ARR in 2029.
We believe in a hybrid approach to work (2 days per week in the office for select team members) and equip teams with perks and tools so they can thrive. We all come together once per year for our amazing ‘Team Weeks’. We previously met in Dubai, Lisbon, Athens and Paris. Next is a surprise!
About the role:
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to own the strategy, discovery and delivery of Tabeo’s Finance product.
It is the product that made Tabeo the market leader in UK patient finance, and it is the product we now need to more than double.
We are hiring a Senior Product Manager to own the Finance product area end to end: our established full prime lending product, and Pay in 3, which we have just launched. Over the next three years we want to more than double monthly originations across the two.
Importantly, it is not a migrations job. Onboarding and migrating large dental groups sits with our Customer Success team. Your job is to make the platform itself the reason practices and patients choose us, so that growth comes from the product, not from people working harder.
Some of the exciting things you will be working on:
Building Pay in 3 into a business in its own right, and working out how multi-user and repeat-customer journeys change once patients can come back to us more than once.
Making returning customers our cheapest source of growth - if someone has paid with Tabeo before, their next application should be dramatically easier than starting again somewhere else.
Raising the platform to the standard our scale now demands - ledger, group-level user access, permissions and roles.
Making reporting something senior people in dental groups actually want to log into, which will take real user research rather than shipping one more dashboard.
Driving product-led growth - cutting incomplete applications and manual reviews so the product does work that Sales, Success and Ops are doing today.
Treating funder and regulatory requirements as a first principle, not an afterthought. You will work closely with our General Counsel on regulatory change, and with Risk and Finance on our lender relationships and multi-lender setup.
Requirements:
What we’re looking for
Product ownership of a consumer credit or instalment lending product. Point-of-sale finance, car finance, mortgages, retail personal loans - interest-bearing, interest-free, or both.
A working understanding of lending mechanics. Repayment schedules, arrears, refunds, settlements, balances, customer notifications and the edge cases that quietly break lending systems. You have been burned by at least one of them.
A track record of owning a commercial outcome. You set the metric, you moved it, and you can explain honestly what worked, what did not, and why.
Comfort with technically-led product work. L edgers, access and permissions models, instrumentation and event design. You do not need to write the code. You do need to hold your own with engineers and tell a good technical argument from a weak one.
Experience working in sprints inside a cross-functional squad of engineers, designers and QA, in a high-growth environment where the bar and the expectations were demanding.
The instinct to bring Legal, Risk and Compliance in early and to design journeys that meet the rules without adding friction.
Real openness to feedback.
Clear communication you have authored yourself.
The willingness to redeploy and adapt what already exists rather than rebuild from scratch when rebuilding is not the point.
Nice to haves
Exposure to capital markets, funders or lender relationships.
Product-led growth experience, specifically reducing sales, success or operational workload through the product itself.
Fluency with AI tooling as part of your day-to-day craft.
User research experience with professional or business users as well as consumers.
B2B2C or vertical SaaS products.
Multi-market or international product rollouts.
Benefits
Competitive salary
Remote-first working
£2,000 annual training and development budget
Fully equipped home-office setup
AXA Business Health private medical cover (UK), including dental, optical, life assurance, wellbeing support and gym discounts
Electric car scheme
24 days’ annual leave plus birthday off
Enhanced parental leave
Fertility treatment leave (up to 5 days per year)
Contributing pension scheme (UK)
Company trips, offsites, and team get-togethers we actually look forward to!
We are considering applicants in the UK who can travel to London twice a week.
