A family based in Canary Wharf is looking for an experienced and reliable part-time Housekeeper / House Manager to support the smooth running of their household. This is a permanent part-time position for someone organised, proactive and able to manage their workload independently.

Working Hours
2 days per week.
16 hours per week.
The days can be flexible.

Salary
£19–£22 gross per hour.
Approximately £304–£352 gross per week.
Depending on experience.

Start Date
Late July or early August 2026.

Role Overview
The Housekeeper / House Manager will be responsible for maintaining the household, managing day-to-day domestic tasks and ensuring the home remains organised and well presented.
The successful candidate must be able to manage their own schedule, prioritise tasks and work independently.

The family is looking for someone with meticulous attention to detail, strong hygiene standards and experience caring for delicate materials and furnishings.

It would be a bonus if the Housekeeper / House Manager is happy to keep an eye on the child occasionally when needed, for example if the parent needs to take a call or quickly pop out.

Main Responsibilities
General housekeeping.
Household organisation.
Laundry and ironing.
Meal preparation.
Light household administration.
Managing household supplies.
Keeping the home organised and well maintained.
Maintaining high hygiene standards throughout the home.
Handling delicate materials and furnishings with care.

Housekeeping Duties
Cleaning and maintaining all main areas of the home.
Dusting, vacuuming and mopping.
Cleaning bathrooms and kitchen areas.
Changing bed linen.
Laundry and ironing.
Organising wardrobes and household areas.
Keeping cupboards and storage areas organised.
Monitoring cleaning products and household supplies.
Following hygiene protocols and maintaining excellent cleanliness standards.
Caring for delicate materials, fabrics and furnishings.

Household Management Duties
Managing the weekly household routine.
Planning and prioritising household tasks.
Keeping track of household supplies.
Assisting with deliveries and household appointments when required.
Light household administration.
Supporting the family with the general organisation of the home.

Cooking Duties
Preparing simple and healthy family meals.
Meal planning when required.
Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen.

Occasional Child Supervision
Occasionally keeping an eye on the child when needed.
For short periods only.
This would be a bonus, not the main role.

Requirements
Previous professional housekeeping experience.
Previous experience managing a private household preferred.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Able to work independently.
Reliable, discreet and proactive.
Good attention to detail.
Meticulous approach to cleanliness and hygiene.
Experience with delicate materials and furnishings preferred.
Confident preparing simple family meals.
Happy to occasionally keep an eye on a young child would be a bonus.
Good spoken English.
Enhanced DBS check preferred.
Excellent references required.
