EMRS Project Analyst
We’re looking for an EMRS Project Analyst (Grade 8) to join our EMRS Delivery team at Elexon on a permanent basis.
In this role, you’ll provide PMO, project control, reporting and administrative support across a portfolio of EMRS projects and changes. You’ll work closely with Delivery Managers and the Senior Delivery Lead to maintain accurate project information, coordinate reporting and governance activity, track delivery measures and ensure key actions, deadlines and project controls remain on track.
This is a strong opportunity for someone with experience in project support, PMO or delivery coordination who enjoys working with data, keeping delivery organised and providing the information and structure that allows project teams to focus on delivering successful outcomes.
What you’ll do:
Coordinate and produce regular project and change status reporting across the EMRS delivery portfolio
Maintain a consolidated view of project status, milestones, actions, decisions and dependencies
Track delivery KPIs and management information , highlighting exceptions, gaps and emerging trends
Support the creation of dashboards and reporting for senior stakeholders
Coordinate governance and stakeholder meeting packs, ensuring information is complete and professionally presented
Attend relevant project and governance meetings, taking clear minutes and actions
Maintain action and decision logs and proactively follow up with owners
Support Delivery Managers with RAID logs, project controls and documentation
Track project and change milestones and highlight overdue activity or inconsistent information
Support project initiation, mobilisation and closure activities
Maintain effective document management and version control
Coordinate timesheet reporting and monthly true-up activity , reconciling project and change information and resolving discrepancies
Work with Finance to maintain appropriate project, change and timesheet codes
Analyse resource and timesheet information to support understanding of delivery effort and utilisation
Help improve and automate reporting, governance and administrative processes across the Delivery team
What you’ll bring:
Experience in a Project Analyst, PMO Analyst, Project Coordinator, Delivery Analyst, Project Support Officer or similar role
Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects, reporting cycles and deadlines
Experience producing project status reports, management information and governance packs
Experience supporting governance meetings, including preparing packs, taking minutes and tracking actions
Strong numerical and analytical skills, including the ability to reconcile data and identify discrepancies
Experience maintaining project controls and project documentation
Experience using Power BI or another reporting/data visualisation tool
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, particularly manipulating, reconciling and presenting data
Strong PowerPoint and Word skills, with the ability to produce clear management materials
Excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills
Confidence following up information and actions with stakeholders at different levels
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-moving delivery environment
A proactive approach, identifying what needs to be done without requiring continual direction
It would also be beneficial if you have:
Experience supporting technology, business change or transformation projects
Experience with resource reporting, timesheets or project financial administration
Experience using project or portfolio management tools
Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery
A project or PMO qualification such as PRINCE2 Foundation, APM PFQ or P3O Foundation
Experience within energy, utilities, government or another regulated environment
Experience working with external suppliers or multi-vendor delivery teams
Experience improving or automating project reporting and administration
