Senior Consultant (Solution Implementation) — ETM.next (UK)

BearingPoint United Kingdom
London

Our Story

BearingPoint is one of Europe's leading independent, partner-led technology and business consultancies, recognised as a trusted strategic partner to our clients often working alongside our key technology partners, such as SAP. We are actively seeking a Senior Consultant to join our growing team in the UK, at a point of real momentum in our growth and investment. The role will be in one of our Software Product Teams working with our proprietary asset management tool called ETM.next. Project delivery will be focusing on UK client delivery as local lead and part of a global delivery team from our technology hubs. Our product teams focus on innovation, collaboration and customer success - and we are looking for someone who wants to help grow it in the UK.

What is ETM.next?

ETM.next is BearingPoint's cloud-based solution for managing the lifecycle and rental of business-critical assets: tools, equipment, vehicles and personnel. Built on SAP Business Technology Platform, it integrates with SAP S/4HANA and other ERP systems, and is used by organisations across construction, utilities and industrial services. It is a product with a clear market, a live client base and plenty of room to grow.

The role

As a Solution Implementation Senior Consultant you will work closely with clients to shape and deliver the solution and drive real business value. You will translate client needs into functional and technical configurations, guide teams through project milestones, and make sure new ways of working are genuinely adopted. In short, you connect business strategy to digital execution, and help clients digitise and optimise how they manage their equipment and high-value assets.

This is a two-sided role providing opportunity for growth and development. When you’re not leading delivery, you’ll be helping build local business: qualifying opportunities, shaping propositions and growing ETM.next in the UK market. It is a competitive space, so we are looking for a self-starter with entrepreneurial instinct who is comfortable working with the team to deliver outcomes during and outside of implementations.

Key responsibilities

Client Delivery & Implementation

  • Lead ETM.next implementations end to end, from discovery through to go-live, with our international products team

  • Lead design workshops that clarify requirements and confirm solution fit

  • Analyse client requirements and translate them into functional specifications that fit their business processes

  • Capture custom requirements and turn them into clear user stories for the development team

  • Configure ETM.next modules and integrate them with SAP S/4HANA and other ERP systems

  • Plan and guide testing cycles, including user acceptance testing, and confirm the solution is ready for go-live

  • Prepare and deliver training so client teams are confident from day one

  • Work alongside cross-functional colleagues in sales, development and support

  • Provide post go-live support and continuous improvement recommendations

  • Feed client insight back into the product roadmap and our thought leadership

Business development and growth

  • Partner with our business development teams to identify and qualify new opportunities

  • Support proposal development, solution demonstrations and client presentations

  • Build and sustain strong relationships with clients, technology partners and industry stakeholders

  • Become an ETM.next expert locally championing the product benefits across our key client segments (construction, utilities, manufacturing, industrial services, defence)

Requirements

Essential

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology Management, Supply Chain, Business or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

  • 4+ years in SAP implementation, equipment or fleet management, or asset lifecycle solutions (e.g. ERP, CRM, MES or PLM)

  • Working familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP and cloud-based enterprise applications

  • A clear interest in how technology enables business goals, and a grounding in IT strategy, enterprise architecture or information management

  • Strong analytical, communication and project management skills, and the composure to navigate difficult client situations

  • Willingness to travel as project needs require

Desirable

  • Hands-on experience with ETM.next or a comparable asset management tool

  • Integration experience with S/4HANA or ECC environments

  • Strong understanding of equipment, asset, fleet planning, execution, maintenance & service, and billing settlement

  • Experience in construction, utilities or industrial services

  • Knowledge of SAP Fiori, IoT integration and mobile app deployment
