English Teacher – Diverse Literature Focus – Tower Hamlets (TH)
A vibrant, diverse secondary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking an experienced English Teacher with expertise in supporting English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners from January 2026.
- English Teacher (EAL Specialist) required from January 2026
- Tower Hamlets-based school with a dynamic, multi-cultural student population.
- Ideal for a teacher passionate about teaching diverse literature and developing language acquisition strategies for EAL students at all key stages.
You will teach English Language and Literature across KS3–KS5. The role includes planning differentiated lessons, collaborating on EAL intervention strategies, and selecting culturally relevant and challenging texts for the curriculum.
Experience and Qualifications
- QTS and a relevant degree in English (EAL/Linguistics qualification is a bonus).
- Proven experience supporting students with EAL to access the English curriculum and exam requirements.
- Strong subject knowledge across a wide range of diverse literary traditions.
- Commitment to contributing to the school's inclusive learning environment.
