The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Catering Contracts Manager to oversee catering operations at the Glasgow Life venues including, Scotstoun Stadium, Tollcross International Swimming Centre, and the Glasgow Commonwealth Arena and Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome. The role will be central to ensuring high-quality catering services for multiple client groups, delivered within budget, on time, and in line with Games requirements.
This is a unique chance to use your expertise in contract and catering management to help shape one of the world’s largest sporting events.
Job Summary:
As Catering Contracts Manager, you’ll take the lead in delivering world-class catering operations at all Glasgow Life Venues. From planning and scoping spaces to managing budgets and negotiating supplier contracts, you’ll ensure every detail is in place to deliver a seamless service for a wide range of client groups. You’ll work closely with venue teams, suppliers, and delivery partners, building strong relationships and driving accountability to keep everything on track. With responsibility for ensuring menus meet diverse dietary and nutritional needs, you’ll balance creativity with efficiency while keeping services aligned to Games objectives. This role is about more than just contract management—it’s about ensuring catering plays its part in creating an exceptional Games experience, from operational readiness through to post-event reporting and legacy planning.
Key Skills and Experience:
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring a background in hospitality, food technology, or a related field, with proven experience managing catering contracts in large-scale or fast-paced environments, ideally within major events or multi-sport settings. You’ll have the confidence and skill to lead negotiations, solve problems under pressure, and translate the needs of different client groups into efficient, high quality catering operations. Strong communication and relationship building skills will be key, as you’ll be working with a wide range of stakeholders, from suppliers and sponsors to venue teams and delivery partners. Highly organised and detail oriented, you’ll balance multiple priorities while keeping a clear focus on timelines, budgets, and outcomes. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 will help you stay on top of reporting and planning, while your adaptability and drive will ensure you’re ready to meet the unique challenges of delivering a world-class sporting event.

Salary: Starting salary is £45,000. Salary offered will be based on demonstrated skills and experience related to this role.
