This role will be suited to someone who is highly organised, has excellent communication skills and 1-2 years, or more, experience within a professional organisation. You will ideally have experience in an Operations or Project Management role within a smaller or start up organisation

The Role:

The Operations Lead is responsible for product, corporate and delivery event operations, reporting into our Senior Leadership Team. It is a unique role, in that it has the benefit of operating across the whole business and engaging with staff, candidates, trainees, consultants and clients. As such, as well as core operational skills, we are also looking for someone who really enjoys working and collaborating with a range of people and seeks to continuously improve their work in service of others.

The Operations Lead will own a high number of enabling processes (people-based and technology-based) that are essential for the business to succeed and deliver our mission, and will often act as the ‘glue’ of the organisation. The ideal candidate will therefore thrive in juggling high-volume tasks and projects simultaneously, including developing operations to become more efficient and effective as we scale-up to become a world-class organisation.

Experience needed:

This role will be suited to someone who is highly organised, has excellent communication skills and 1-2 years, or more, experience within a professional organisation

  • Professional : 1-2 years minimum professional experience delivering operations in a fast-paced environment that requires excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Communication: experience communicating with a range of audiences and stakeholders, as well as excellent written communication skills, including managing documentation
  • Additional capabilities: Proficient in MS office and generally confident in learning and using data platforms and systems; experience with corporate technologies and CRM systems is an advantage
  • Academic : a strong educational background is preferred, however this is not necessary

  • Supplier or vendor management or procurement
  • Administration and compliance

Main tasks:

HR administration and compliance:

  • Eligibility checks and background checks (university certificates, proof of ID etc)
  • Sending training contracts to candidates
  • Responding to emails and queries
  • Gathering compliance and onboarding candidates
  • Updating internal systems with candidate statuses and notes
  • Checking candidate time sheets
  • Ad-hoc admin tasks
  • Creating and updating company policies on our internal HR system

Communication and Organisation tasks:

  • Management of communication with our trainees
  • Ordering and organising collateral for our trainees
  • Arranging everything needed for meetings and training days from food orders to sending out emails
  • Booking social events
  • Communicating directly with our trainee community on the status of their employment with the company

Other tasks:

  • Providing basic tech support for laptop admin - resetting, ordering, distribution, organising laptop insurance and arranging collection
  • General Office management tasks
  • Supporting on organising events
