Head Chef – Premium Open Fire Cooking – Central London – £55,000 - £65,000
Lead the kitchen at an acclaimed central London restaurant where fire is the heart of the menu.
We are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious restaurant in the heart of London, celebrated for its exceptional food and commitment to premium, hyper-seasonal ingredients. This restaurant is at the forefront of the city’s trend for exceptional open-fire cooking, using wood-fired ovens and charcoal to create bold, flavour-driven dishes designed for sharing.
This is a key opportunity for a Head Chef to take full creative ownership of daily changing menus. You will lead a team dedicated to excellence within a restaurant known for its dynamic atmosphere and focus on genuine quality.
The Restaurant & Head Chef Role:
- High-end restaurant in a prime Central London location.
- Specialises in open-fire cooking, with wood-fired ovens creating a distinctive, smoky flavour profile.
- A focus on small plates and sharing-style menus.
- Daily changing menus driven by the best hyper-seasonal produce.
- Manage a brigade serving an 80-cover restaurant.
The Ideal Head Chef Candidate:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef within fine dining or premium environments.
- A genuine passion for and demonstrable skill in open-fire cooking techniques.
- Strong leadership, organisational skills, and the ability to train junior chefs.
- A calm, focused, and humble attitude with excellent communication.
- Solid commercial acumen, including menu costing and kitchen cost control.
- Dedicated to their craft with a deep understanding of modern food trends and premium ingredients.
