A well-regarded private nursery in Elephant and Castle is currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Nursery Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic childcare professional who is passionate about early years education and committed to providing the highest standard of care.
About the Role:You will play a key role in supporting the daily routines of the nursery, contributing to the planning and delivery of engaging learning experiences, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in your care. This role offers scope for professional growth and development within a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:Assist in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
Provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children
Support the planning of age-appropriate activities
Build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
Maintain a clean and organised learning space
Follow all safeguarding, health, and safety policies
A minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare (or equivalent)
Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting
Strong understanding of child development and the EYFS
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A proactive, flexible, and caring attitude
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
Supportive and professional team environment
