What You'll Be Doing

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing timber, metals, acrylics, plastics, tools and other materials for practical lessons.

  • Setting up and clearing away equipment and resources for KS3, GCSE and A-Level lessons.

  • Maintaining and checking workshop machinery, including band saws, pillar drills, sanders, 3D printers and laser cutters.

  • Supporting students and teachers during practical sessions.

  • Ensuring all workshop activities are carried out in accordance with Health & Safety and COSHH requirements.

  • Managing stock, ordering materials and keeping equipment and resources organised.

  • Completing routine maintenance and safety checks.

  • Helping to maintain a clean, safe and well-organised workshop environment.

What We're Looking For

You should have a good understanding of workshop tools and machinery, be confident working independently and have a naturally practical and proactive approach.

Knowledge of CAD/CAM, 2D Design, SolidWorks, 3D printing or laser cutting would be an advantage, although training may be available for the right candidate.
