Nursery Practitioner SEN
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 or above Early Years Educator with extensive experience in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to join our friendly and supportive Nursery team . This is a mixed role, where you will provide targeted support for a child with vision impairment and global developmental delay, while also working within the room to support all children and contribute fully as part of the team .

Salary: £28,250.30
Hours: 38.75 per week
Start Date: April 2026
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualised support in line with the child’s Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) .
Support the child’s learning, communication, and development through play-based activities .
Adapt activities and environments to meet sensory and developmental needs .
Work closely with the room team, SENCO, and external professionals .
Support and engage all children in the room when appropriate .
Contribute to planning, observations, and assessments .
Promote inclusion and ensure the child feels safe, valued, and supported .
Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a high-quality learning environment .
Requirements
Essential Requirements:
Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent) .
Extensive experience working with children with SEND .
Good understanding of EHCPs and inclusive practice .
Patient, caring, and committed to high-quality care and education .
Strong communication and teamwork skills .
Flexible and proactive approach to supporting the setting .
Desirable Requirements:
Experience supporting children with vision impairment and/or global delay .
