Year 6 Teacher — Independent School — Wandsworth
A highly respected Independent School in Wandsworth is recruiting an experienced and inspirational Year 6 Teacher to lead an ambitious upper KS2 cohort from January 2026. As an Independent School the setting offers small class sizes and a strong pastoral culture; the Year 6 Teacher will be expected to attend pre-term planning before January 2026, participate in induction in January 2026, and begin classroom teaching from January 2026 as the Year 6 Teacher. This Full-Time Year 6 Teacher post provides the Year 6 Teacher with a rich CPD package — Full-Time coaching, team planning and leadership pathways are all available from January 2026.

Year 6 Teacher Responsibilities
The Year 6 Teacher will design and deliver rigorous curriculum sequences in maths and English as the Year 6 Teacher, run targeted booster programmes as the Year 6 Teacher, and lead transition to secondary as the Year 6 Teacher. The Year 6 Teacher will organise parents’ evenings, present assessment data and coordinate moderation; the Year 6 Teacher will prepare before January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026.
Year 6 Teacher Requirements
We seek a Year 6 Teacher with QTS (or equivalent), proven Upper KS2 impact and strong data literacy. The Year 6 Teacher should be a calm classroom leader who can inspire confidence in pupils and parents. Availability for pre-term meetings before January 2026, induction in January 2026, and a Full-Time start in January 2026 as the Year 6 Teacher is essential.
