Are you ready to drive excellence in global VAT compliance? Join our team at RSM UK as a Project Manager and play a pivotal role in shaping our VAT compliance services across the UK, EU, and beyond. You'll be at the heart of a dynamic team, ensuring quality and efficiency in tax reporting for a diverse portfolio of clients.

As a Project Manager in one of our national offices, you will oversee and manage the end-to-end process of coordinating new client engagements, client onboarding and ongoing compliance delivery. This position demands exceptional organisational skills, the ability to manage multiple cross functional projects simultaneously, and strong communication skills. You will play a central, cross-functional role connecting both internal and external stakeholders and ensuring seamless execution across processes.

You will make an impact by:
  • Tracking and reporting of client deadlines, ensuring on-time delivery and a premium service is continually delivered.
  • Being the primary point of contact for new client engagements.
  • Managing the new client onboarding process from start to finish, ensuring a smooth and positive experience
  • Coordinating internal teams to ensure all aspects of new client engagements are handled efficiently and effectively.
  • Being Involved in the financial management of the department, specifically overseeing cost management processes and coordination of billing procedures and monthly reporting.
  • Acting as a conduit between our department and other business units within RSM, enhancing collaboration and joint opportunities

Preferred qualifications and experience:
  • Project Management experience.
  • Experience of working within the professional services sector.
  • Business agility related certifications are preferred but not essential.
  • Exposure to accounting principles and/or VAT Compliance and systems is not essential but useful.
  • Line management experience is preferred but not essential.
Skills and competencies:

  • Organised: effective time management and prioritisation, deadline driven.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with an ability to liaise with clients and colleagues at all levels. Ability to tailor approach depending on individual and context.
  • Working knowledge of Excel is essential.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Team focus: ability to work closely and collaborate with peers to achieve common goals.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to deliver upon changing priorities and requirements.
