Our client, a leading main contractor based in Hertfordshire, is seeking a Project Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. Operating across London projects, this business is cash rich, has excellent staff retention, a full order book, and continues to secure major planned refurbishment frameworks across the social housing sector.

Recognised as a market leader within their field, our client delivers a range of planned refurbishment programmes including internal and external works, alongside major SHDF decarbonisation and fire remediation projects.

The successful candidate will initially be allocated to a £15m p/a L&Q framework, reporting directly into an experienced Commercial Manager. The programme consists of SHDF works and planned external refurbishment projects across occupied social housing environments, providing exposure to major decarbonisation and improvement programmes within a live resident setting.

The successful individual will play a key role in the commercial delivery of these schemes and will ideally have previous experience working on similar planned refurbishment projects, with a strong understanding of the challenges associated with delivering works in occupied environments.

Key requirements:
• Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment
• Experience delivering social housing planned refurbishment projects
• Exposure to occupied refurbishment programmes would be highly advantageous
• Experience on external refurbishment and/or SHDF projects would be beneficial
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project lifecycle management
• Ability to manage subcontractor procurement, valuations, cost reporting and final accounts
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
