The Opportunity:
We’re excited to offer an opportunity within the Confex Operations team for an Operations Executive. This role will predominantly support the planning and delivery of two major exhibitions in the Tech Industry, part of our Tech portfolio, as well as assisting with the organization of 3-4 smaller conferences, across a variety of other sectors.
This role will support the Customer Service Manager and Operations Manager on every part of the operational delivery of the Imago events, helping ensure we design and deliver to a high standard and to budget.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a team delivering the operations for two tech exhibitions - DTX + UCX Manchester and DTX+UCX Europe () , supporting on various key tasks with a strong focus on customer service, account handling and operational delivery.
- Independently manage the operations for several smaller conferences and networking events, with guidance and oversight from a manager.
- Support the Operations team with exhibitor and sponsor logistics, managing queries quickly and calmly, ensuring that all stand contracts are delivered accurately onsite.
- Assist clients in the planning, delivery and modification of their modular exhibition stands.
- Support with supplier orders for event signage, AV, venue, catering, sponsored items with guidance from manager, as required.
- Help maintain a high level of customer service alongside the Customer Service Manager.
- Assist the Operations Manager with the delivery of event features as required.
- Production and timely communication of correct and detailed technical manuals for exhibitors in collaboration with the Customer Service Manager.
- Arrange travel and accommodation for staff and speakers within a pre-set budget.
- Work closely with the Portfolio Directors, Producers, the project team and other Operations team members to seamlessly deliver the event.
- Manage the costs for your assigned areas, prepare and report event budgets including raising purchase orders, obtaining final costs and signing off invoices with manager support.
- Develop a thorough understanding of health & safety principles and ensuring all parties are compliant. Assist with all show health & safety related documentation and constantly seeking to improve knowledge and experience in this area.
- Assist the Operations team with any other ad hoc tasks as required by the Manager or Senior Operations Manager.
- Demonstrate clear and effective communication of ideas and processes.
- Methodical filing and record keeping.
- Post show evaluation and development.
- Available to travel worldwide.
- Attend training courses as directed by Line Manager.
- Collaborate with other operations teams across the business and take part in working groups.
- Build strong relationships with our customers and deliver great customer service when dealing with exhibitors and delegates.
- At all times representing Clarion Events in a Professional Manner.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:
- Experience in the conference and exhibition industry is desirable.
- Experience in a customer-facing/orientated role.
- Organised and methodical.
- Strong social and communication skills.
