As a Claims Adjuster you are respected for your technical balance the needs of multiple stakeholders making sound decisions using data analysis experience and judgment along with a risk mind-set. You take ownership and drive successful outcomes for the client and AIG.
How youll make an impact
Claims handling coverage determination quantum analysis and legal liability assessment where appropriate and within authority limits.
Work with the Head of Aerospace UK and the Aerospace team to ensure effective vendor and litigation management on all lead claims.
Broad internal stakeholder communication where required.
Strive for continuous improvement on claim file handling with feedback and support through the Quality Assurance review processes.
Contribute to maintenance of best practice procedures for Aerospace claims consistent with global best practices.
Obtain and improve on a good standard of technical claims competence and efficiency.
Feedback claims trend analysis to team and internal stakeholders.
Attend claims reviews and travel as required
What we are looking for:
A person with experience in the insurance industry preferably in Specialty.
Some experience of claims handling ideally arising from a Specialty environment.
An interest in gaining knowledge of Aviation specific clauses and wordings to enable accurate and consistent interpretation.
Work towards the ability to manage external vendors including lawyers surveyors for the benefit of the client AIG and the following market.
Ability to deliver timely and accurate information to our key stakeholders: the client the broker and our underwriters as well as claims management.
A strong team player with good communication skills who thrives in a dynamic claims handling environment.
The ability to analyse and interpret data from many sources and ideally some experience of market IT systems.
