As a Claims Adjuster you are respected for your technical balance the needs of multiple stakeholders making sound decisions using data analysis experience and judgment along with a risk mind-set. You take ownership and drive successful outcomes for the client and AIG.

How youll make an impact

• Claims handling coverage determination quantum analysis and legal liability assessment where appropriate and within authority limits.

• Work with the Head of Aerospace UK and the Aerospace team to ensure effective vendor and litigation management on all lead claims.

• Broad internal stakeholder communication where required.

• Strive for continuous improvement on claim file handling with feedback and support through the Quality Assurance review processes.

• Contribute to maintenance of best practice procedures for Aerospace claims consistent with global best practices.

• Obtain and improve on a good standard of technical claims competence and efficiency.

• Feedback claims trend analysis to team and internal stakeholders.

• Attend claims reviews and travel as required

What we are looking for:

• A person with experience in the insurance industry preferably in Specialty.

• Some experience of claims handling ideally arising from a Specialty environment.

• An interest in gaining knowledge of Aviation specific clauses and wordings to enable accurate and consistent interpretation.

• Work towards the ability to manage external vendors including lawyers surveyors for the benefit of the client AIG and the following market.

• Ability to deliver timely and accurate information to our key stakeholders: the client the broker and our underwriters as well as claims management.

• A strong team player with good communication skills who thrives in a dynamic claims handling environment.

• The ability to analyse and interpret data from many sources and ideally some experience of market IT systems.
