Interim Finance Manager - Professional Services

Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days in office)
Contract: 3-6 months

A highly regarded global professional services firm is seeking an immediately available Interim Finance Manager to step into a critical, high-visibility role within its UK & Ireland finance function. This is a hands-on, high-impact contract at the centre of the finance team, ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, takes ownership, and can deliver from day one.
Your new role:
Reporting to the Finance Director, you’ll take full ownership of core financial reporting and controls across a multi-entity, international setup. You’ll be the engine behind month-end, a key contact for auditors, and a trusted partner to senior stakeholders across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Owning the monthly close journals, accruals, prepayments and full management accounts
• Delivering robust P&L and balance sheet analysis with clear insight
• Maintaining strong financial controls and reconciliation integrity
• Leading the audit process and managing external auditor relationships
• Preparing statutory financial statements end-to-end
• Reviewing key expense areas including payroll and supplier costs
• Supporting tax and regulatory reporting with external advisors
• Driving process improvements across reporting and controls
• Partnering the business and supporting senior stakeholders

What you’ll need to succeed:
Essential:

• ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
• Background in professional services or partnership-led environments
• Proven ownership of month-end, management accounts and reporting cycles
• Strong experience of P&L and balance sheet ownership
• Track record of managing audits and external stakeholders
• Solid technical accounting (IFRS / UK GAAP) with statutory reporting exposure
• High attention to detail with strong analytical capability
• Confident communicator who can operate at a pace.

Desirable:

• Experience in multi-entity or international environments
• Exposure to ERP systems such as NetSuite / Oracle / SAP
